Interview w/ Elisabeth Staab-- She's just got the *best* obsession...

Morning ladies! Elisabeth Staab stopped by for a little chat today. She's awesome so give her a big welcome and leave her some comment love!  ~Anna
Michael Hale's company is in jeopardy. In the wake of his father's death and transitioning to CEO, projects are circling the drain and that may cost him everything. Come to find out, the consultant hired to fix things is the "one who got away" many years ago. This time he's playing for keeps, and he intends to win.

Elise Jackson swore she wouldn't come near Michael Hale again. He sucker punched her professionally, and he broke her heart. Still, a job’s a job, and they can both be adults. But high emotion and late nights working lead to passion neither of them can deny.

They have one week. Can the two of them pull Michael's company out of the fire and heal their old wounds?

*waves* Mornin' Elisabeth! It's great to see you again. I'm ready to hear some juicy juicy gossip about your latest release! I just love those second chances at love. *girly swoon*
Hi, Anna! I love a good reunion romance, too! And One Week was so much fun to write. Thank you very much for having me here to tell you about Elise and Michael’s story!
Alright, so, say you have 15 seconds to hook someone while you're in line at the grocery store. What would you tell them about Elise and Michael that would get them panting for more?
Sexy CEO, Michael Hale, has one week to save his failing company and win back the woman who got away.
Ahhh I love it! Can you tell us 3 fun (or sexy) behind the scenes facts--think pop up video style--about One Week?
  • Spot the sex-toy reference: There were two vibrator jokes in the original draft of One Week. It was pared down to only one in edits, but suffice it to say that both Michael and Elise have a little bit of a saucy side.
  • Near the beginning of One Week, Elise brings Michael a peppermint mocha with an extra shot of peppermint flavoring. Coincidentally, this is my husband’s favorite Starbuck’s beverage. ;)
  • See the heroine on One Week’s cover? Her hair was originally brown and straight. My cover artist, Elizabeth Babski, went to great, heroic lengths to make her hair red and curly like Elise had in the book.

Oh dang. Never woulda guessed. So,  any make-you-bite-your-lip worthy quotes you can share?
"I’m not sure about anything, Elise. I just know that everything around me could collapse at any moment, and you feel right. You feel good. I need to feel good for one night.”

“I want you,” he said. “I want you so badly that getting inside of you is all I've been able to think about since the last time. Wanted you five years ago. Want you now.” He spun her around, placing her hand on the edge of the conference room table. “Please,” he murmured in her ear. “Please.”

Michael wasn't even sure what was tumbling out of his mouth. As he pushed inside Elise, his eyes went back in his head and all sorts of curses and promises fell from his lips. Things he couldn't and shouldn't want to give her. Things he'd wanted to give her since he'd first laid eyes on her all those years ago. Good things. Honorable things. Dirty fucking filthy things.
Yeah. Yeah, that'll do it. Whew. So, what was it about Michael that had you totally loving him... I mean, other than that? What about Elise?
Well the Michael I see in my head is ridiculously stunning in a suit, not that looks are everything. ;) I love that both Michael and Elise have insecurities, but they each manage to be strong when the other needs them to be. They’ll do whatever it takes for the person they love. And they’re both the teeniest bit kinky, which is just plain hot.
Hell yeah it is! And speaking of hot...Favorite Man Candy?
Uh, I have a lot of favorites. Adam Levine, Usher, Dale Cooper, Pana Hema Taylor, Matt Bomer….  *damn. I knew I liked you Elisabeth!*

What's on your bucket list?
Having dinner with Oprah, visiting Rome, taking a cruise, getting a new tattoo.
I'm totally obsessed with...?
Well, books, but that’s a given I guess. Matt Bomer. Boy, do I love White Collar. Giraffes. Did you know their babies have like a four foot drop to the ground when their born? Can you imagine?? *damn*

Last thing that made you blush?
Huh. Wow. I’m honestly not sure. I don’t shock so easy, so nothing is coming to mind off the top of my head. *oh Elisabeth. That's just...really gonna be so tempting if I ever see you at a con again. Just sayin'*
Strangest thing in your purse/in the room right now?
The strangest thing in my purse is probably a tin of fish-themed matching cards. I keep them on-hand in case I need to keep my kids entertained while we’re out running errands.
And real quick before you head on out. What's up next for ya?
Well in addition to One Week, the Scribbling Women anthology just launched, which is an anthology of 28 short essays about romance authors and their real-life love stories. All net proceeds go to help the Win charity in NYC and I’m very honored to have been part of the project.
My next very big thing is Hunter by Night. Book three of the Chronicles of Yavn series comes out in June, and I am so stoked for Lee and Alexia’s story. I think folks are really going to love it.

Ahh can't wait! Thanks so much for coming by Elisabeth! Can't wait to meet these two!
Thank you so much for having me and for giving me a chance to talk about One Week! I hope you enjoy Elise and Michael. :)
