Today is all about Baby G. Who joined our family just over 7 years ago.
I can't believe the herd babe is 7!! Oh my word.
G totally rules the house and has her mama wrapped around her paw.
She's a "helper", a screamer, a snuggler when she wants to be and even if she can be ornery she's pretty damn perfect.
Oh and for yall who have e-known her for a while. Her real name is Gladys.
So's. 7 years ago on the day Baby G was born some sorry excuse for a human dumped her and her siblings at a kill shelter. In the middle of the winter they left them in a metal drop box at the shelter without their mama. They were still wet from being born and thank goodness survived until people arrived for work.
I got a call about G and her siblings and they came home with me.
A few days after arriving we found someone with a nursing mama cat to take them in until they could be on their own. Unfortuntately that person wasn't all that wonderful and they ended up getting very sick. We lost 3 of the babes and Gladys came back to live with me at around 2 1/2-3 weeks old.
I was pretty heart sick to have lost her siblings but so glad she survived and was back with me.
She had a long battle with infection but nothing slowed this girl down.
She'd take on the 140 pound herd pup Zack. Or the foster hamster.
Ate like a champ--she refused to give up her bottle until 9 weeks old.
And pretty much suckered all of us into doing anything she wanted.
I mean. Look at that wee little face behind the carrier doors. How could you possibly deny that babe...anything?!
And now G is grown.
*no worries this was G getting some love...just a funny angle*
And she still rules the roost.
Unfortunately--according to her--she's got to share the herd babe spotlight.
When Foster girl Franny was so sick this summer I moved into the guest room with her.
G shortly followed and made her displeasure over sharing her mama known.
The bed is actually Franny's. G flicked her paw in Fran's direction and stole that shit. lol
Baby G is definitely her mama's girl. She's got no use for other humans really.
She hides whenever her grandmom visits--everyone else is screaming Grandmom!!!! Treats!!!
Not G.
It's her mama. And only her mama for her.
She's definitely my little helper.
Loves her romance books and making the bed.
Helps me do my nails by drinking the nail polish water (which she gets reprimanded about every time)
Snuggles and meeeeeh-s at me when I don't do as she demands too. LOL

Bless her she's the most wonderful thing....ever.
