QuoteTastic-- Pipe Dreams (Brooklyn Bruisers #3) by Sarina Bowen

A little change up! I've decided to start posting Quote-tastic on Tuesdays (might change to Thursdays). For those who participate in the meme you can post ANY day of the week. The link up will just go live on Tuesday now. But you could post Fridays and link up the next Tuesday and that's totally cool. :D

And now on to today's Quote! I laughed at this. The heroine is totally business proper and prim when it comes to work and I just loved this little thought from her. I was like, well, yeah! lol
All week long at work she wore suits and wrote the persuasive missives that helped power Nate's global empire. She maintained her own apartment and made all her own decisions.

But sometimes a girl just needed to be spread out on the bed and properly fucked.

*pets the pretty pretty goalie*

Now, Pipe Dreams. Mike? Well, Mike screwed up right good a couple years back and pretty much broke Lauren. And blast it all to hell now she's having to deal with his stupid ass since she's working up close and personal with his hockey team. And, well, feelings... are still rather raw and all kinds of confusing as they deal with the past and damn blasted unruly hormones running amok.

Lauren's kinda badass. Super intelligent, an organizer and crazy good at her job. She's an all around strong lady and easy to like. And Mike. Lordy. Even with his major fuck up I liked him, too. He tries so hard to do what he thinks is right even when he flubs up in the process. Oh and he's a single daddy and yall know I love me a single daddy.

The romance. Goodness. They lost a lot of time from his screw up and fixing things was rough going. Hurt feelings, the past, and rebuilding trust were dealt with. Something I appreciated. They were pretty damn phenomenal once they figured it all out. Fun and sexy! Holy hotness. They rocked some hardcore chemistry.

I really liked getting a good look at the inner workings of the hockey team, too. She's their travel organizer and he's the goalie so lots of elements.

My only issue was a few spots where I felt like it was trying too hard to work in social commentary that really wasn't necessary for the storyline and didn't add anything to it. Thankfully it wasn't a huge segment of the book but it still stuck in my mind and not in a great way.

All in all, though, I want more of the Brooklyn Bruisers and all their sexy hockey playing asses. *gimme* With each book I'm falling more and more for this hockey team and the people who surround them. Pipe Dreams was the full dreamy package-- sexy, sweet, and totally swoon worthy.

Mike Beacon is a champion at defending the net, but off the ice, he’s not so lucky. A widower and a single father, he’s never forgotten Lauren Williams, the ex who gave him the best year of his life. When Lauren reappears in the Bruisers office during the playoffs, Beacon sees his chance to make things right.

Lauren hates that she’s forced to travel with the team she used to work for and the man who broke her heart. There’s still undeniable sexual tension running between her and Mike, but she won’t go down that road again. She’s focused on her plans for the future—she doesn’t need a man to make her dreams of motherhood come true.

Lauren plays her best defensive game, but she’s no match for the dark-eyed goalie. When the field of play moves to Florida, things heat up on the beach.

One of Mike’s biggest fans doesn’t approve—his teenage daughter. But a true competitor knows not to waste the perfect shot at love.
