Another week where I didn't have a review book for Quote-tastic. *flails* But perfect because I was feeling like some Eve and Roarke today.
I reviewed New York to Dallas a year or so ago and, as always, loved it. These two are just my favorite pretty much anything when it comes to reading-- the prickly police lieutenant and her reformed bad boy husband who rocks a sexy Irish lilt. At this point they'd had like 33 books together as a couple and seeing their marriage over the years has been a lot of fun. Romantic bits and snarky growly bits. This one just killed me...

"You're fucking welcome," he called after her.
She answered by stabbing her middle finger into the air before she slammed the bedroom door.
"Oh aye, back at you, darling."
And then...
But she walked back to him first, wrapped her arms around him. "I'd rather be screwed up with you than smooth with anybody else."
Seriously how can you not love these two?
Twelve years ago, Eve Dallas was just a rookie NY cop when her instincts led her to the apartment of Isaac McQueen, a man she discovered to be a sick murderer and pedophile, who was keeping young girls in cages.
Now a homicide Lieutenant, Eve is one of the most distinguished officers in the city—and then she learns that McQueen has escaped from jail. Bent on revenge against Eve and with a need to punish more "bad girls" McQueen heads to Dallas, Texas—the place where Eve was found as a child, the place where she killed her own abusive monster when she was only eight years old. With Eve and Roarke in pursuit of McQueen, everything is on the line and secrets from Eve's past are about to be shockingly revealed.
