The Duchess Hunt-- 5 stars!!
His for Christmas-- 4.5 stars!
Lord Lukas Hawkins, the rakish second son of the House of Trent, has never found a wager he couldn't win or a woman he couldn't seduce—until his search for his missing mother leads him to a mysterious encounter with a beautiful stranger.

Luke's mother has been missing for months, and while his honorable older brother Simon, Duke of Trent, leads the official investigation from London, Luke sets out on a somewhat seedier path. Sources have told him his mother was last seen with a scoundrel named Roger Morton, but their association isn't clear. Was she kidnapped or did she go willingly?

While searching for Morton, Luke meets Emma Anderson, a secretive beauty with her own reasons for hunting Morton. At first Luke laughs at the idea of allowing a woman to join him in his search, but soon Emma's insights into Morton—like the woman herself—prove impossible to resist

Mornin' Jennifer! Come on in, come on in. We've got cookies and Nutella hot chocolate and all kinds of goodies whipped up to nibble on while we chat. I've just been loving the House of Trent series.
Thank you, thank you! Cookies are my favorite (and why I gain 10 lbs every holiday season!). Yum! And I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying The House of Trent.
Oh, man, I *so* know how that is. lol Alright, so, if you had 30 seconds to hook someone on the newest release, The Rogue's Proposal, what would you say?
Luke Hawkins holds onto some dark secrets, and he tends to act out. A lot. He drinks, he parties, he’s had multiple affairs and been involved in several scandals. Frankly, Luke has never been much of a hero.
Emma Curtis is mystified by Luke’s behavior, but inch by inch, she begins to break through his barriers. Luke is certain he isn’t capable of falling in love, but he learns that he can fall, hard, when it comes to Emma Curtis. And when these two come together, it’s combustible! Time to bring out your ladylike fans to protect yourself from the heat.
LOL oh I love watching them fall like that! Could you tell us 3 behind the scenes fun facts about Lukas, Emma and their story?
  • If Luke were a modern-day hero, he’d probably be a musician. A musician with a commitment problem, who sported several tattoos and whose only form of transportation was a motorcycle. Alas, the wildest ride available during the Regency period was in a curricle (and of course Luke has one!).
  • In The Rogue’s Proposal, Emma’s father suffers from a mysterious illness—heart trouble coupled with something else no one can define. It is what we’d know today as severe depression.
  • The House of Trent is about a family I like to call the most dysfunctional family in Regency England. A mystery threads through the three novels in the series, The Duchess Hunt, The Rogue’s Proposal, and The Scoundrel’s Seduction. As I’ve written the books, I’ve loved how the mystery brings this eccentric family together and how the three brothers’ love stories became entwined with the search for their mother.
I've really loved that mystery and just like you said how it connects all of the family and brings them together. It's just so captivating. Now, was there a moment you just about had a girly swoon over Lukas?
Yes, definitely was when he was hurting the most, when he was at his most raw and vulnerable moment and exposing himself to Emma. That moment is towards the end of the book, when he finally tells Emma about the source of his nightmares.
Aws. I think that would have me melting too! Okay, this one's for Lady Esme. I just read His for Christmas. Whew. *fans self* That was one steamy romance! Will she have any more, erm, scandalous stories you'll help her share in the future? And can you tell us just a little bit about His for Christmas?
I think she will! In fact, I just accepted a contract for Lady Esme’s own story, so that should be coming out sometime in early 2015! I am so excited…it’s going to be so much fun!
His For Christmas is the story of two childhood friends who were torn apart when they were in their teens and who find their way back together again. It is a sweet, sexy story just in time for the holidays!
*squee* Oh that's awesome! How exciting. Alright, just a couple silly ones and we'll let you head on back to writing :)

Fruitcake stance. Friend or Foe?

Here’s a picture of Luke…ahem, I mean, Warren Kole, the actor who I think should play him in the movie! *ooo, nice!*
