Rogue Rider
Reaver
Quote-tastic
Reaver is an angel with a past, a record, and a less-than-heavenly attitude. Powerful enough to fight alongside the fiercest battle angels-and crazy enough to risk his wings on a one-way mission to hell-he's agreed to go where no angel has ever gone before...to steal the most seductive and dangerous prize of Satan himself.
Harvester is one of the Fallen, a once-heroic angel who sacrificed her wings to work as an undercover agent in hell. But now her cover has been blown, and she's been doomed to an eternity of agonizing torture. Even if Reaver can snatch her away from Satan's lair, even if they can fight their way out of the underworld's darkest depths, there is one thing Harvester can never escape-her new found thirst for an angel's blood...

Morning Larissa! Welcome to herding cats & burning soup! It's been so cold here I thought cookies and Nutella hot chocolate would be nice for our little visit so help yourself and, well, watch the cat. She's cute as all get out but has a serious sweet tooth. lol
Thank you so much for having me! I love cookies and hot chocolate, so that sounds great!
I'll sure never turn them down. lol Okay, so, if you had 20 seconds to hook someone on Reaver what would you tell them?
I'd say: Hot, rule-breaking angel, a trip to hell, a fallen angel with a bad attitude, and hellhounds. I mean, come on, if HELLHOUNDS can't sell a book, what can?
Bwaha I not-so-secretly agree with you on that. I flipping LOVE Hellhounds! That's what I call the pups here. Heh. Alright, could you tell us 3 fun behind the scenes facts about Reaver?
- Sharp-eyed readers will remember Blaspheme, a doctor at Underworld General, from Pleasure Unbound. *she was full of all kinds of awesome Larissa!*
- One of my best friend's dogs, a Borzoi, was the inspiration for the carrion wisps Reaver and Harvester encounter in Sheoul.
- There's a certain archangel who I originally killed in the rough draft of REAVER, but I changed it...because I have a much better fate in store for him. *g*
Heh can't wait to see what you have planned. So, did you have a favorite moment in Reaver?
I have a lot of favorite moments, but one of them happens at the very beginning, when Reaver enters Thanatos's castle and there's a hellhound with a baby in its mouth. (See how hellhounds make things fun?) Anyway, the hellhound isn't hurting the baby at all - they're best friends. I had fun with that, because I love how the hellhounds and angels hate each other so much.
"Reaver ignored the shaggy black beast that bared its teeth at him as he strode across the great room. Hellhounds hated angels, and the feeling was mutual."
Ah yeah that was a great scene! Now a lot of time was spent in the Underworld. Any of it squick you out as you were writing? Just curious. Because, gotta tell ya. Eyeball consumption...It squicked me out something fierce. I had to put down my cereal for a bit. Heh.
Oh, none of it squicked me out. I have a really high tolerance for blood and gore. Some of my first real reading loves were horror novels, and that love carried over into my own writing. The problem is blending that with romance!
I'd say you did a damn good job on that front :) Alright, real quick, I gotta ask about ACRO because I'm completely smitten with the series you write with Stephanie Tyler as Sydney Croft-- they were my first of your books and hooked me well and good. Any juicy gossip about them you can share?
That's so great to hear! I adore Stephanie, and I LOVE writing with her. We will have at least two releases next year -- both m/m novellas. We don't have release dates yet, but we'll be sure to keep everyone informed!
OOo yay!! I can't wait! You two will officially be my first m/m reads it looks like :) Alright just a few silly ones before you head on out...
Favorite Man Candy (pictures are welcome!)
How about Colby LeFebrve, who graces the cover of Bound By Night? Readers can see a video of him doing a reading on my website. But fair warning; you'll need a fan handy! The Video! *um, yeah, yeah that'll do it.*
Weirdest thing you've Google searched in the name of book research?
Oh, geez, everything I search for seems so normal and not weird at all anymore. You know, like "demon names," or "shamanic herbs," or "What makes blood taste bad?" We don't even want to get into the kinds of thing Stephanie and I search for when we're writing the Sydney Croft books. We're just lucky Homeland Security isn't camping on our lawns.
I can't wait to eat ____ this Christmas?
Biscuits and chocolate gravy! It's a Christmas morning tradition. SO yummy!
Christmas decoration that totally wigs you out?
This weird little nut and raisin doll that some German people put out at Christmas. They're kind of creepy.
Hell-beasties. Do you have em? Do they get in the Christmas spirit? Pics are welcome here too :)
I have a Kind Shepherd named Hexe (which is German for "witch,") and a rescue cat named Vegas. They both love Christmas, but for different reasons. The cat loves to play in the tree and the presents, and the dog loves getting presents. It's all very messy...
Aw cuteness! Thanks so much for dropping by for a chat Larissa!! Hope yall have a great Christmas and New Year! Can't wait until the next book comes out (Reaver--I'm telling ya, I damn near needed a cigarette after finishing that one and I so don't smoke. lol It was amazing).
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed REAVER, and I hope you and all your readers have a FABULOUS holiday season!!!!
