Damn it, a man had his pride and a caribou a certain majestic presence, all of which could wind up ruined if he abased himself to play a simple-minded reindeer in the town’s Christmas parade.
No way was he wearing damned tinsel in his antlers.
Like hell was he sporting a red nose and pulling a sleigh.
But he changes his mind when he meets the woman in charge of the event.
Single mom, Crystal, is doing her best to offer her daughter the best Christmas ever. It’s their first in Kodiak Point, and she’s not about to let some vain jerk ruin it for her little girl.
If playing dirty is what it takes…then bring on the Christmas games. As Crystal and Kyle butt heads—and lips—they discover more than goodwill this holiday season. They’re gifted with a second chance at love.

It's pretty much a given with one of Langlais's books that it's gonna be a hoot. And *squeals* Caribou's Gift...totally a cutie of a read! Full of fun, quirkiness and Christmas spirit as the town gears up for it's Christmas parade--something they go all out for--and finds itself short one Rudolf *flails* And everyone starts eyeing Kyle the Caribou and his mighty fine rack for the job.
Okay so there's a new Cougar in town that's heading up the parade and she's determined to make it a success for her baby girl who just loves Rudolf. If only she could convince Kyle of the mighty fine rack. Mmhm. But no matter how much he's lovin' the smells of the Cougar asking him no way he's turning in his Buck Card and letting them send him prancing down the road sporting tinsel.
And so begins a game of cat and mouse, or erm Caribou and Couger?-- since Kyle just can't seem to get the fiery Cougar--who's immune to his charms and determined to wait him out until he agrees-out of his mind. There were some pretty funny moments as Kyle tries to win Crystal over and they spend a little time together doing family-ish stuff. And some aws make a girl swoon ones when he's spending time with her little girl. Nothing sexier than a big burly knight in tattooed armor toting a little girl and making her smile. I'm sayin'. Whew!
"You're a strange man, Kyle."
"Strange, yet lovable?" he said, peering at her hopefully with one eye.
"Yes."
Apparently he liked her simple answer because he kissed her then, his arms wound tight enough to squeeze the breath out of her. But she liked it, liked him, and hugged him back just a tight.
These two definitely have their share of quirks but they're pretty dang cute together and have some nice chemistry too. And even though things move way super speed fast it was kinda right for them too.
Caribou's Gift was fun and cute with a little danger thrown in via a crazy ex. A little magic, a bit of romance and a smidge bit of heat made for a nice hour or so of Christmas cheer and one that's sure to land a smile on your face. Since, you know, Caribou do it better. Everyone knows caribou do it better.
More Langlais on herding cats!
