Mother effing Tasty! They get me again! lol That FB channel is too dang tempting. But so fun!
Of course, I had to change this one up a little to make it vegetarian friendly, obviously, but yum!
Okay. So I did a number of small changes. Some on purpose. Some...not so much. lol
For my accidental changes. lol I read the numbers way wrong somehow for amounts of some of the ingredients. Even though I had it right there in front of me as I added them. *hangs head*
My changes.
Called for vs Used.
Ketchup: 1/2 cup vs 1/4 cup
Mustard: 1 Tbsp vs 1 tsp
Brown Sugar: 2 Tbsp vs 1 Tbsp (this was actually on purpose)
It actually wasn't a problem at all and still delicious.
Now, the on purpose change. Instead of regular biscuits I used flaky layered ones and pulled each biscuit in half. I think this worked better than the original recipe of using an entire biscuit per cup.
Once the mixture is well combined then scoop a bit out into each of the dough cups.
And bake! Then add cheese and let it bake just a wee bit longer.
Even with my changes the cheeseburger cups were still delicious .
They were almost like sloppy joes? A little sweet with the savory but not too much.
It was totally working for me.
I actually did these for Thanksgiving lol Paired with my favorite green bean casserole and glazed bittersweet onions? Noms!
