4 stars-- A Wedding in Maine (McCullagh Inn #2) by Jen McLaughlin

A Wedding in Maine was a cute follow up to book one of the series. This go-round? Chelsea and Jeremy are settling in to their new life running an Inn and the idea of...getting married. Things are good but then strange things start happening. Mishaps at the inn, things just slightly out of place, her dad getting out of jail. It's enough to make a soon-to-be-bride's eye twitch!

I had a good time with this one. It's a quick novella that's a bit steamy, has a little mystery/suspense, and deals with difficult family dynamics and the future. I really liked Chelsea and Jeremy's relationship and that even when things are going sideways they look to each other for support. The little bit of suspense was nice though a wee bit anticlimactic in the end. It was still a fun way to spend a couple hours and, oh, the lead up to book 3 was an interesting teaser, too! Definitely looking forward to more time with Jeremy and Chelsea and their quaint little Inn.
The McCullagh Inn is now open for weddings.

Jeremy Holland is exactly what Chelsea O'Kane wants in a man. After he proposes, she's ecstatic to host their wedding at the inn they built together. But it isn't long before the secrets from Chelsea's past refuse to stay buried, and they could ruin everything....
