I love lists. In fact, I’m a crazy list maker. So it seemed a natural choice for me to choose a Top Five post of My Favorite Holiday Movies. But first, let’s set the scene….

  

Christmas for me is one filled with laughter, good food, and family. We make noise, unwrap presents, and eat until we’re about to burst. Sound familiar?

But the real fun begins when after lunch we spread out in the living room and watch our favorite holiday movies. Now that is Christmas for me. Some of my most happy holiday moments center on my family laughing aloud as the inept robbers in Home Alone get what’s coming to them, or shaking our heads at the total mayhem surrounding the Griswold’s in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (and me silently choosing which family members of mine fitted the characters on the screen).

Do you have a favorite holiday movie? Heck, it was difficult making up this list.  Yes, I had some absolute “must have” films, but there were so many I could have added that I’ve included an “honorable mentions” list following my Top Five.

I live in the sunny environs of Sydney, Australia, and share a house with my dog, Letty.
