#AFTH2015 w/ Samantha Young--It's the Music & Movies!

I tried a LOT of new-to-me authors this year as part of the reading challenge we hosted and Samantha Young happened to be one of those authors. And, whew, yall! I cannot believe I'd not read her sooner! I was hooked by like page 2 (of Hero) and having a major case of grabby hands for all of her other books. Sexy, romantic, a delicious bit of antagonism (I do love those reads). It was just fantastic. I was hooked like you wouldn't believe. And I've been reading all of her others since and lurving them! It's a real treat to have Samantha joining us today. Yall show her some love and hit those comments! ~anna

Hi guys! I hope you’re all excited for Christmas. I am! But then I’m part writer, part big kid :) If there’s two things that can get me in the Christmas spirit it’s music and movies, and here are my top ten…

1. O Holy Night. This is my absolute favourite Christmas tune. It’s been covered by many folks but my favourite version is by the Cary Brothers. I first heard their version on The Vampire Diaries and it’s been on the top of my Xmas playlist ever since.

2. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Of course I love the Frank Sinatra version. It’s classic. But I also love the version by Digital Daggers. It’s got a slightly haunting twist to it that’s lovely.

3. Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree. I’ve loved this song since I first watched Home Alone when I was a child. I have fond memories of dancing around the living room with my mum to this one.

4. Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade. It’s a classic and no Xmas playlist is right without it. It puts me in a Christmassy mood every time.

5. I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday by Wizzard. Another classic Christmas tune that takes me right back to my childhood!

1. The Nightmare Before Christmas. I love Tim Burton and this to me is his best film ever. Gothic Christmas with stunning music and crazy characters. Love it!

2. The Muppet Christmas Carol. Gets me in the Christmas spirit every single time and a must watch for me every year. It’s funny, it’s Christmassy and it takes me right back to my childhood.

3. The Santa Clause. I still remember going to the movies to see this Tim Allen movie with my mum when I was a kid. It really captures the magic of Christmas, the butterflies in your belly feeling that unfortunately disappears as you grow up (until you have kids!). It’s a must watch too.

4. The Shop Around the Corner. I love Jimmy Stewart and this is one of my favourite movies ever. If you love the golden oldies you should definitely add it to your Christmas list.

5. It’s a Wonderful Life. Of course this is on my list. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t on nearly everyone’s favourite Christmas movie lists :) #loveJimmyStewart

A cocky bartender. A sassy pin-up girl. Hot romance and Revenge Interrupted. #SparksFly

When he’s not working at the club, Craig Lanaghan looks out for his mother and little sisters. So when it comes to women, all he wants is a good time. But once Rain Alexander walks into his life, there’s no denying that this woman could be worth much more than a one-night stand….

Rain’s lifelong regret is having left her sister Darcy alone years ago with a guardian who turned out to be abusive. So when Darcy’s boyfriend publicly humiliates her in a cruel way, Rain’s overprotective instincts kick in and she follows him to Club 39—where she meets a guy who just might be her perfect match.

The chemistry between Rain and Craig is explosive, but Rain is out for revenge, and refuses to be sidetracked by flirtation. As things between them heat up, she’ll have to make a heartbreaking choice between giving in to the man of her dreams or putting her sister’s happiness first….

I’m a contemporary and paranormal romance author with 25 titles to my name so far. I love anything that allows me to be creative which means I love my family a whole heck of a lot. They’ve put up with my stories, a number of forced bedroom redecorations, singing, artwork, messy art supplies, a failed attempt at learning guitar, whiny emo music, two house moves (and redecoration) that they should have let me get on with myself but are far too nice to have done so, and a level of sarcasm they only have themselves to blame for since they raised me that way …
As a young girl I never imagined in a million years I’d get to spend my hours day dreaming up stories for myself and other people to enjoy. Much to my delight and amazement there are readers out there who can relate to my dry humour, my mad worlds, and all my heroes and heroines who sometimes do the saving and sometimes just need to be saved. Moreover readers seem to love my home country as much as I do. If I didn’t already love my readers for supporting me, I’d love them for loving Scotland. I’m quite attached to the place.
