Word from the Herd: Authors! Come give Bloggers YOUR advice!

Soooo today we're having a DOUBLE feature!

In our community bloggers and authors are so connected. It can be an amazing thing but it can also lead to some frustrations since we all work hard but have such different jobs and talents.

I thought it would be interesting to see what advice Bloggers and Authors would give each other.
Things they wish the other knew or would do, etc.
Either things they love when the other does or things that frustrate them.

Please mention two things only. And please keep things civil :)

For THIS page: Authors what would YOU like to say to Bloggers?

Blogger thoughts are HERE.

I'm cheating a wee bit because I'm including my advice to other bloggers too :D
1] Blog how you want to blog. Don't let others pressure you to look a certain way or make feel you have to accept every request that comes into your blog. It's okay to say no and do what you want to do in your own style.

2] That said...if you do sign up for an event or to host an author make sure you mark that down and get your post up when you're supposed to. If it's an e-calendar or a print one or notifications. Something. I host tours for authors and sponsor events like the blog hops and gotta say, it's real frustrating to get those 'oh, was that today?' type posts after I've gone around and had to send follow up emails because a post isn't up when it should be. It doesn't just make the individual blogger look bad but makes ALL bloggers look bad when someone flakes like that. As I'm typing this I'm dealing with just that. I have a tour I'm hosting for an author. Three blogs...didn't bother to post their features today and it's nearing 10am. I know blogging is a hobby but, yall, if you've signed up for something make sure you get those posts up. You've made a commitment and it's crazy rude to just blow that off. Ignoring the fact that it makes me look bad in the eyes of my author it makes for a big ding on bloggers as a whole because obviously we aren't reliable or professional enough to come through when we sign up for things. So if you do sign up for something do whatever it is you need to make sure you get that post up day of.

Annnd that's my two bits for other bloggers.

Now. Authors. What do you wish all bloggers knew?
