Memes! New Books, Toxic Reads, and Waiting on Wednesday!

There's a whole slew of memes in this post so you might have to scroll down just a little to get to the one you're looking for. 😸

Eeee! I've become a book fiend this last couple weeks. I'm all I NEED ALL THE BOOKS! lol It's been hot and muggy here. Pretty much turns me worthless. lol I have been working in the yard this week. It's exhausting but getting better out there at least. Whew! Other than that life has been quiet which I'll take!

There were a lot of new arrivals. Crazy. I rarely get so many books but the last two weeks couldn't seem to help myself. Still keeping on top of review books as they come in AND managed a long overdue from 2014 this week so feeling pretty dang good.

New Review Books
I love Harris and was so excited to see Sleep Like a Baby hit my doorstep!
It's out in September. I'm nearly done and we've enjoyed it. (Amazon)

And Picked up an e-copy of Disorderly Conduct by Tessa Bailey. I actually read book 2 (the Jan release) then went back to this one. Pretty good. And the review is nearly done!

Bought

These were my big "Prime Day" purchase. lol I love Roarke and Eve but got behind. They had a buy $20 get $5 off so I started snagging the ones I'm missing. (Amazon)

Free!
I snagged three freebies during the week!

WON!

Audiobooks! I won three audiobooks and some headphones from Melanie over at HotListens. I'm so excited! I haven't read any of the authors or listened to any of the narrators yet. Thank ya Melanie!!

The Young Elites by Marie Lu-- Amazon
The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi-- Amazon
Fever Crumb by Philip Reeve-- Amazon

And I won a copy of Comeback Cowboy by Sarah Richardson.
I love her books and this series so that was fun. Not sure which blog it was won from, though. It just showed up. But yay! (Amazon)

Currently Reading!
Gladys and I are reading Sleep Like a Baby tonight. I'm nearly done with it then had an accidental 7 hour nap. Oops! The title apparently suited us.

While TTT is on hiatus I'm joining in on the Book Blogger Hop hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer
Have you ever read a book or books you would consider 'toxic' because of the effect it(they) had on you? If so, which one(s)?
Hrm. I don't know if I'd use the word toxic but I've definitely had some that really really ticked me off. Usually those revolve around a heroine hiding a pregnancy/baby from a hero until she needs him years later.
None in particular stick out in my mind. I tend to get mad then forget them. lol

Why I'm Waiting:  Harrington is amazing. Really. You need to read all her books. ALL HER BOOKS! I had a fab time with book one and am itching for When the Scoundrel Sins. It releases on my birthday! (Aug 29) It's so pretty, too!
Annabelle Green needs a husband-and quickly. To inherit the only home she's ever known, she must be married by her twenty-fifth birthday. But finding a suitor has been next to impossible after a reckless rogue named Quinton Carlisle seduced her into a scandalous midnight tryst. Her reputation in ruins, Belle now needs a rather large favor. And she knows just who to turn to . . .

Quinn can hardly believe that the shy bookish girl he teased as a child has grown into such a brazen beauty. The very idea of marrying Belle to right the wrongs of his past is downright shocking . . . and deliciously tempting. Too bad marriage, convenient or otherwise, is the last thing Quinn wants. He'll help Belle find a husband and be on his way. But if he can't control his attraction to the bride-to-be, this marriage could go up in flames-of wicked desire.
